Hi Everyone, Welcome back to my blog! For my entry 2 I decided to interview Ms. Soley Roper. Ms. Roper is a 3 rd grade Spanish Bilingual teacher at Morton Ranch Elementary School. Ms. Roper is from Venezuela and has lived in the U.S. for almost 22 years. She is fluent in both Spanish and English. Based on my interview with Ms. Roper, I have learned that her L1 was Spanish and her L2 was English (Ortega, 2013, p 5). Growing up, Ms. Roper spoke nothing but Spanish in her home country of Venezuela. It was not until she turned the age of 19 when she was introduced to the English language. For about a year she learned English in her home country.
